Two Guernsey companies have signed up to the Considerate Constructors Scheme.

The scheme is a non-profit-making, independent organisation founded in 1997 by the construction industry to improve its image. Since then, it has registered and monitored over 100,000 sites across the British Isles and has been instrumental in many of the improvements enjoyed today. Construction sites, companies and suppliers voluntarily register with the Scheme and agree to abide by the Code of Considerate Practice.

Lightning Enterprises CI Ltd and HVC Ltd are among the latest to sign up.

Lightning Enterprises CI Ltd has recently celebrated over 20 years of business supplying lightning protection systems, specialist earthing solutions and associated products to protect the Channel Islands’ most important buildings.

Construction specialist, HVC, which has been undertaking major building projects in the Channel Islands for over 10 years, delivers large projects for all sectors of the industry.

The Scheme is endorsed by local authorities, the UK government, main contractors and major industry clients.
